by Linda for everyone
All in SF who followed us long the path with music, noise and costume - THANK YOU from the bottoms of my feet!!! You kept me going when I really thought I was done for!

Hurray Hookers for Hooters! May God keep you cheering for a long time. (PS- Hum, those would be mountains, not bumps in the road!)

As one of the few guys doing the walk, I especially appreciated the flattery from the Hookers ;) Now, who was the girl wearing the Aviators and cop cap and what's her number???

Everyone who cheered did a great job and really made a difference to me being able to complete this fantastic event.

See you in 2007!

Ian.

Woohoo! Thanks Leslee ;) Now, how do I get that pic bigger? :)

So who else is more sore today than they were yesterday?

Hi Ian,

I can email the full size pic to you, I think I have another as well.

Stretching is the key! Keep stretching daily until the soreness subsides. I'm happy to report I made the entire 39.3 without aches, pain or blisters! I sent a note to my walker buddy with a suggestion for a couple of optional 15 minute group stretching sessions prior to the route opening next year. Worked for me!

Doesn't a Jack n Coke work as well as stretching? No? Drat! :)

Thanks very much! I only got the one piccie, and the other that my girlfriend took didn't turn out :( She thought she was cute too ;)

I made it through the entire first day with just tiny pinprick blisters on my pinkies - could barely see or feel them.

Made it to 9 miles the next day, they'd started to grow. By 12.5 miles, they engulfed my pinkies and then one burst (ow!).

I think they'd do well to have the stretching session right before departure, instead of before the speech - although it was certainly good motivation.

Ok, back to work :)
