I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who participated as a walker, volunteer, crew or staff member in the Denver walk. I hope everyone enjoyed the event (despite the hail storm).

I applaud those who braved the storm. A lot of personal gear was soaked, and I can only imagine how you felt after you had spent a number of hours walking only to be pelted with hail.

I'm not a walker but a crew member. My duties require me to start one day ahead of the walkers. I work three long, hot, sweaty days, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks for doing your part in making the Denver walk a success! I'll be crewing again next year and I hope that you return too. Maybe you will convince a friend or two how special this weekend is and get them to join you.

lcathyhochevar This was my first Avon walk and I have to say an experience I will never forget or want to . I to want to thank the the crew members and volunteer's. I only wish that I had been able to stay Saturday evening after that hellish storm and enjoyed the company of all the wonderful women I walk side by side ,behind ,in front of. I did not not walk over the finish line. That I do regret. I will see you all in June of 2007. I would not miss that for the world .We are proud to be team. The Stick Ladies

Stick Ladies and others,

While some may not have have been able to complete the walk, the important thing was that you participated and you did your part to make this an enjoyable and memorable experience for all. Your contributions are appreciated!

This was my second year walking. I can not give a reason exactly why I walk, but something tells me I have to walk. Though I do walk for DeAnn, Mary, Susan, and Barb. Keep up the fight. I will keep walking for as long as there is a walk to walk or as long as I can walk. Thank you so much to all the staff, crew and volunteer's. without you none of this would be possible and the hail storm would have been hell. Thank you to Mom and Dad for bringing me and my tent mate dry sleeping bags. I would have had a horrible night if it was not for them. Melanie Keating

I would like to Thank everyone involved in the Denver Walk, Crew Members, Volunteers, Medical Staff, those of you behind the scenes and the Walkers. The Survivors with their determination and fortitude. I met so many wonderful people over the week-end. People taking care of one another, without thinking about it. Comforting, consoling and encouraging one another. I was one of those that was stuck in the Hail storm. Thank You for taking care of me. I may look like Hail right now, but that is ok!!! The week-end was definitely a Life Altering experience for me. The emotions are hard to explain to people that weren't involved. Walking into the Park and down that finish line, I could hardly see for the tears. And the closing Ceremony how very BEAUTIFUL. THANK YOU ALL! See you all next year
